North America Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time is used in most of North America. Due to the continent's global position north of the equator, countries in North America usually start daylight saving time in March or April and end the usage in October through November. The countries of Canada, Mexico and the United States all utilize daylight saving time and each have some locations which both officially and unofficially do not observe daylight saving time.

Daylight Saving Time in the Caribbean is used by several countries, including the Bahamas, Bermuda, Cuba, Haiti, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The beginning and ending times vary for each nation.

Daylight Saving Time or Summer Time is used in Greenland, except in Danmarkshavn and Pituffik. In places observing Daylight Saving Time it begins on the last Sunday in March at 1:00 am UTC and ends on the last Sunday in October at 1:00 am UTC. Greenland uses the same daylight saving time rules as the rest of Europe.

Haiti

Haiti does utilize daylight saving time.

Sunday March 11, 2018 at 2:00 AM local time.

Haiti ends Daylight Saving Time on Sunday November 4, 2018 at 2:00 AM local time.

Mexico

In most of Mexico daylight saving time begins at 2:00 a.m. local time on the first Sunday in April. On the last Sunday in October areas on daylight saving time fall back to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. local time. The state of Sonora does not observe daylight saving time.

Ten Mexico municipalities, which share a border with the United States, begin daylight saving time three weeks earlier on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November which allows these ten border cities to observe a daylight saving time pattern consistent with the United States. In most of the United States Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March. On the first Sunday in November areas on Daylight Saving Time return to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m.

Turks & Caicos Islands

Turks and Caicos Islands will resume the use of daylight saving time in 2018. 

Turks and Caicos Islands, which had previously used daylight saving time, did not turn clocks back by one hour on Sunday November 1, 2015 as originally scheduled. Instead Turks and Caicos Islands remained on UTC-4 year round.
